About The Author

Athena is a poetess and author. Unlocked Diaries gives a poetic depiction of significant occurrences she experienced throughout her life’s journey. A major event changed her life in 1998 when she was shot during a home invasion and subsequently paralyzed.

following this event, Athena set out to regain a sense of independence, ambition, a sense of self, and peace. Athena knows that she would not be here today had it not been for the grace of God. God has given her the gift of writing and an opportunity to use this gift to encourage, uplift, and inspire the world. Athena seeks to be a light in this world by encouraging those seeking who they are created to be and their potential. There is greatness inside of us.
